Company to introduce innovative forms of Explainable AI (XAI) at Keiretsu Investor Capital Expo

REDMOND, WA, August 16, 2023 — Pattern Computer®, Inc. (“Pattern” or “the Company”) today announced that Chair and CEO Mark R. Anderson will introduce Pattern’s TrueXAI™ product family at the Keiretsu Investor Capital Expo, taking place August 17, 2023 at the Microsoft Conference Center, Redmond, WA. Mr. Anderson is scheduled to provide an update on Pattern’s technological and strategic advancements in Explainable AI (XAI) Thursday August 17, 2023, at 11:10 a.m. PT. The Company will be available through the day for meetings with Keiretsu Forum attendees at Booth 7.

Pattern Computer has developed a new end-to-end system, the Pattern Discovery Engine™, the world’s first commercial platform delivering the ability to transparently understand the salient factors driving the predictions and insights from the most advanced analytical models in use today. The innovative product suite being introduced is comprised of new forms of Explainable AI (XAI), including Pattern’s TrueXAI™, NeuralXAI™ (for use with customers’ neural networks), and ICEXAI™ (used in Pattern’s own discovery engines).

Mr. Anderson noted, “XAI will modify the scientific method, and open new avenues for scientific research and commercial applications. Pattern’s TrueXAI is the most advanced technology today for making major new discoveries, without the “black box” problem of neural nets, or the inherent risks of GPT. Today’s AI applications are dominated by neural network models. While progress is being made in achieving high predictive success using these models, most internal processes remain “black boxes,” preventing comprehension of the logic and processes executed within the model’s interior layers. This opacity limits usefulness in many applications, including in regulated industries requiring such knowledge. Examples include the GDPR and the AI Act in the EU, domestic state privacy laws as they relate to personal data, and autonomous car and plane certifications.”

Mr. Anderson added, “The Pattern team believes that transparency of models, and the inclusion of increasing amounts and types of relevant data, will brings insights, discoveries, and breakthroughs in all industries. Drug discovery and design, material science, supply chain optimization, cancer detection and cures, real time diagnostic testing for COVID and other bacterial and viral diseases, and many other applications will be driven by XAI.
